Shannon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing since 2018 and is trained to provide direct supervision to independent and associate level licensed clinicians. Shannon has a Master’s in Social Work, a Bachelors in Child Development, a Bachelors in Emergency and Disaster Management and is working towards her Sex Therapist Certification and a Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology. Shannon provides couples and individual therapy for adults with a focus on depression, anxiety, personality disorders including borderline, narcissistic and OCD and working through traumatic experiences, communication skills, pre-marital concerns, boundary setting, expectations and relationship issues, including concerns with intimacy, sexual dysfunction and other sexual issues. Shannon provides therapy through a Person-Centered approach using various methods including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness interventions, Gottman method therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys traveling, spending time with family, camping, and crafting.
