Dr. Holzman is a board certified Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. He has lived and practiced in the Valley since 1978. He closed his private practice of psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry in 2010, choosing salaried outpatient practice full time at Southwest Behavioral Health. His primary clinical interests are the behavioral and emotional problems of Children and Adolescents, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Autism. He encourages the use of therapy in addressing the problems of his patients and has no hesitation in recommending medications when indicated. He considers family to be an important resource and support for his patients, child and adult, and has always had an open door regarding family participation in treatment and treatment planning. He values the colloborative model at Denova, and has been on the Denova team since February 2023. Dr. Holzman has been a licensed physician since 1966, he enjoys literatiure, fiction, speculative fiction, movies, and TV. He has been married since 1966, has two grown daughters and teenage twin grandchildren.
