Gilberto Gutierrez Jr (also goes by Sonny) is a Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a Board Certified Art Therapist, currently residing in Arizona. Sonny’s therapeutic approach uses an integration of psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and person-centered theory to support individuals in a whole-person and strength-based way. Sonny believes that the therapeutic relationship is collaborative at most, with aim to provide safety, security and comfort within the self. Sonny aims to help individuals find more adaptive habits that lead to more insightful, introspective and fulfilling lives. Sonny enjoys all kinds of art making, caring for animals as well as enjoying the presence of the present.
